Champagne
One of the most compelling values in the Laherte portfolio, this Blanc de Blancs is produced entirely from Chardonnay grown primarily on the chalk and clay soils of Chavot and Épernay, in the Coteaux Sud d'Épernay. The wine is based on the 2022 vintage, incorporating approximately 50% reserve wines from previous harvests. Fermentation takes place in a combination of barrels and small foudres, with partial malolactic fermentation helping to build texture and balance. Disgorged in January 2026, the wine spent approximately 30 months aging on its lees before release. There is no dosage added, yet there is nothing austere about this Champagne. The combination of ripe fruit, chalky minerality and beautifully integrated acidity gives the wine remarkable depth and precision. It's a wonderful example of Aurélien's ability to produce a Champagne of extraordinary balance without the addition of sugar, and one that easily competes with bottles selling for considerably more.
